Omg. It’s 7:28pm. I’m sitting here reading Spirit Speaks to Sisters by June Gatlin (great great read, thank you Courtney) and suddenly I realize I never wrote my blog post for tonight. I set myself to a standard of blogging every Tuesday at 7pm. I put myself under yet another pressure. I gave myself the deadline. Now, I’m stressed. Why? Because readers are waiting?

Lol, but no one’s barely reading your posts right now, Jazz. That’s what I tell myself. I just started blogging. No one knows about the blog, I only have a handful of readers, what’s the big deal?

The problem is, I like to be consistent. I like to keep my word. After being let down so many times by people, I hold myself to a higher standard to be better than what I’ve been served.

I told myself all weekend, including yesterday, to get it done and it still slipped my mind. I totally let time get away from me.

You see how one small hiccup opened up a can of deeper issues for me? How often does this happen to us all? We’re stressed about one thing and then our minds drift to deeper rooted problems?

I had to take a deep breath and tell myself, I’m not going to always have it together. I’m not going to meet every deadline. Sure, I set the date and time for blogging but who said I had to keep the date every week? Am I even that on point on an every day basis? I mean, I try to be but life is unpredictable. Not to mention, I could also hear my husband‘s voice in my head saying ”Relax. Stop making things so hard. It’s not that serious. Just do it tomorrow.” Lol

Tonight, I just came on to say— to you and to myself: you can stop trying to be perfect. I know people are watching and everyone has an opinion how how you should do things but no one is perfect. Stop people pleasing. We get pulled at all angles. We’re doing so many things. We’re working more than we’re living. We are running businesses, raising families, trying to be great spouses and so much more and sometimes we just need to stop, regain focus ……and breathe. Breathe……Breathe.

That’s what I’m choosing to do tonight.

I’m going to get back to my book, continue sipping my lemongrass tea and breathe.

Catch you guys next week.

Concluded at 8:13pm

Everything.

Not too hot or cold, leaves & acorns scattered on the ground, spiced vanilla chai, a nice breeze caressing my face serving just the right amount of wind to flip my hair as I walk, the sun bouncing on & off of my skin as it peeks

through the trees that have bloomed into beautiful colors. Fall is cuddling up in soft fuzzy blankets on the couch next to my love, taking a deep breath & appreciating the moment. Fall is a mood—a positive, grateful & happy state of mind.

Fall is cinnamon, spice and everything nice tickling your nose as you wash your hair with Cookies. It’s your mouth watering as maple syrup plays on your feelings while conditioning your hair with Créme. It’s the warmth & zest of lemongrass that blankets you when caressing your skin with Honey. It’s the herbal whisper that quietly breezes through your body when you open up a jar of Elixir. Our Invigorator is literally Fall, Thanksgiving & Christmas in a bottle. Open your senses to Love04.

And guess what? You can indulge in delight 365 days every year.

As you’re sipping on your hot tea tonight think of new beginnings. That’s what Fall is carrying us into at the close of our 2021. Catch you next week, same place, same time.

Love,

Jazz

Hey Family!! I’m backkk and we’re turning up on a Tuesday night again—just kidding. I hope this post finds you in a great state of mind….relaxed... kids whining down getting ready for school….dinner eaten… and you’ve finally sat down to do something you want to do.

Not many of you have been able to explore our site so I wanted to take this time to give you a little background on who we are in hopes that it encourages you to join our family if you haven’t already.

What Does Love04 Mean?

Our name Love04 was Inspired by the year my husband and I met. I was sitting at my desk at work, before Love04 became a reality, exploring possible business names with my husband and he says “how about love 04”. We’ve taken pride in the humble beginnings of our relationship and have always made the day we met, 1st date etc very significant days to acknowledge, remember and celebrate. So when he said that I was completely in awe.

Love04 represents the pureness & authenticity of our love, our faith and resilience. Throughout the years, we have continued to build upon this very foundation which is how we are still going strong today in our personal lives.

What Inspired Love04?

I started making my own mixture of a “hair grease” when I found myself wasting money on top brands that promised healthy growing hair. Over the years, I always ended up tossing those products out.

My goal was to make something that could be used on hair and skin for everyone--kinda like a 2 birds with one stone thing. Our first product was the Elixir--I literally threw that together not realizing it would be the start to something amazing. To make a long story short, I began to see a major change and all of our hair was growing. I gave some sample jars of the Elixir to a few family members & the rest has been history in the making. We now handcraft organic shampoo, conditioner, a leave in tonic, essential oil, lip balm, hand sanitizer, hair and body oil and we have a hair steamer.

Love04 has become a staple in my household. We keep the products in the car, house, on our dressers, in our bags—all over. Every time I turn around my son has a new lip balm, my husband uses up all of the Honey I set aside for us for his showers, my daughter keeps asking to wash her hair and I’m spraying hand sanitizer like it’s a luxury perfume (it smells so good).

I get funny stories all of the time from our supporters about how “someone took my last bottle.” or “I let my mom use it and she never gave it back” or “my son said can we get more of that smelling good stuff?”. To know that we’ve become a household brand is so humbling.

Although we currently only produce small batches (small to a bigger business but huge to us), it takes a lot of work to produce each product and we sell out quickly.

I can't wait to hear from you and to see how you're using our products and the amazing results you experience.

Only God knows what’s next to come out of our bag to present to you. When creating, I think of my children so trust me when I say I got you.

Enjoy the rest of your night. Catch you next week, same place, same time.

Love,

Jazz
